How to export your Simkl watchlist
- Open your account on this site and connect Simkl in the Trackers section: the site shows a code, you enter it on simkl.com while signed in there. Once — the connection stays.
- Come back to this page. There is nothing to type — the connection already says whose library to read, so the Export button is all there is.
- Click Export. The whole library is read through the Simkl API — the «plan to watch» list is what lands in the file, films and series alike — and every entry already carries its IMDb and TMDB IDs.
- A Letterboxd watchlist CSV downloads (matched by TMDB/IMDb ID). The Trakt file and the JSON backup are available beside it.
- Load the file into the service’s own importer: Letterboxd adds the titles to your watchlist, Trakt to its own. Kinopoisk is not one of them: it takes no file, and its import page reads a public Kinopoisk profile rather than a backup.
One read, two lists
Simkl answers with the whole library at once — what you have watched and what you plan to. So this is not a second run but the same one, taking the other list out of the answer. Nothing here has a rating or a date: a «plan to watch» entry never has them. That is why the IMDb CSV, which is built to carry them, is not offered here — an empty file is no use to anybody. Every row already comes with its IMDb and TMDB IDs, which is exactly what Letterboxd and Trakt match on. The Kinopoisk ID is looked up through Wikidata; a title Wikidata cannot place still goes into the JSON backup with the IDs it does have.

Frequently asked questions
Can I export my Simkl «plan to watch» list?
Yes. Connect Simkl once in your account and press Export here: the list comes out as a Letterboxd watchlist CSV, a Trakt file and a JSON backup.
How is this different from the Simkl ratings export?
Only by which list ends up in the file. Watched titles with their ratings and dates are the ratings export; this page takes the other list — what you have not watched yet.
Will the ratings and watch dates come along?
No — a «plan to watch» list holds neither. Take the rated titles through the ratings export; both files can be loaded into the same service one after the other.
