How to export your Simkl library
- Open your account on this site and connect Simkl in the Trackers section: the site shows a code, you enter it on simkl.com while signed in there. Once — the connection stays.
- Come back to this page. There is nothing to type — the connection already says whose library to read, so the Export button is all there is.
- Click Export. The whole library is read through the Simkl API — films and series, with their ratings and watch dates — and each title already carries its IMDb and TMDB IDs.
- The Kinopoisk IDs are looked up on top of that, through Wikidata — they go into the JSON, ready if you ever need these films back on Kinopoisk.
- Download the file: the CSV for Letterboxd, or the IMDb, Trakt and JSON files beside it. Kinopoisk is the one exception: it accepts no file, and the import page reads a public Kinopoisk profile rather than a backup. The Kinopoisk IDs that were found stay in the JSON anyway.
Why a connection instead of a link
A Simkl library is not a public page you can read by its address: the API only answers for a member. So the export needs a connection — you make it once in your account, and this is the only export here that asks you to sign in. In return the whole library is read at once, not just the last few entries, and every row already carries an IMDb and a TMDB ID, so nothing has to be guessed by title. Only the Kinopoisk ID still has to be found, through Wikidata. If Wikidata does not know a film, it stays without that ID — but it is still in every file.

Do I need my Simkl password?
No, and there is nowhere to enter one. Connecting goes through a code: the site shows it, you type it on simkl.com in your own session, and Simkl hands us an access token. The token is stored on our side, the password is never seen — and «Отключить» in your account deletes our copy of it.
What exactly comes out?
Everything you have marked as watched, with ratings and watch dates where Simkl has them — films and series alike. The files are the same ones every other export here builds: the Letterboxd CSV, the IMDb CSV, Trakt’s CSV and JSON, and the JSON backup with every ID found.
Can I move a Simkl library into Kinopoisk?
Not in one move. Kinopoisk accepts no file, and the Kinopoisk import page works from a public Kinopoisk profile — it moves ratings between Kinopoisk accounts, and there is nowhere to hand it a backup. The export still finds the Kinopoisk ID of every title Wikidata could place and keeps it in the JSON — so if such an import ever appears, the file is ready for it.
Does disconnecting delete anything on Simkl?
No. «Отключить» removes our copy of the token and nothing else — your Simkl library is untouched, and the app’s permission on Simkl’s own settings page can be revoked there whenever you like.
