How kino-export.com processes data, for how long, and how to have it erased.
1. Processing without an account
An export run without signing in is not retained. The files are produced for a single run and delivered to the browser. The outcome of a run is retained for 24 hours so that the files stay reachable from a reloaded page. Retained separately is the correspondence between a title’s identifiers in the several film databases. That table holds no record of who requested an entry. The login and password of the site a profile is read from are neither requested nor stored.
2. What an account holds
An account holds the email address and password given at registration, the saved exports and the time they are due to run, and the last three runs of each export together with the files produced, which are used for comparison against the next run. Where an external tracking service is connected, the permission to address it on the user’s behalf is retained. Where the library is used, the list of titles with their ratings and dates is retained.
3. Purposes of processing
Data is processed only so far as the requested action requires: running the export, delivering the file to the address given, and keeping the user signed in between visits. Data is not sold, is not disclosed for advertising purposes, and is not used to profile the user.
4. Disclosure to third parties
To match a title across services, requests are sent to open film databases. Such requests carry information about the title and carry no information about the user. A connected tracking service receives the data whose transfer the user initiated, and only while the connection is in force. Mail is delivered through a mail server. Error reports are sent to an external error-collection service and stored within the EU. Visits are counted by the site’s own means on its own server, without cookies and without collecting anything by which a visitor could be identified.
5. Retention periods
The outcome of a run is retained for 24 hours. The files of a scheduled export are retained until three later runs have displaced them. A session remains in force for 90 days or until the user signs out. Other data is retained until the user deletes it. «Удалить аккаунт» on the account page irreversibly deletes the address, the schedules, the files produced, the library and the connections.
6. A third party’s profile
The site accepts the address of any public profile, including one that does not belong to the user. Data obtained in that way is processed and retained on the same terms. Responsibility for naming another person’s profile rests with the person who named it.
7. Cookies
Only the cookies that keep the user signed in are used. The chosen theme and language are stored by the browser itself and are not transmitted to the server. Advertising and tracking cookies are not used, and consent to them is therefore not requested.
8. Rights of the user
The user is entitled to obtain information about the data processed, to demand its correction or erasure, to request a copy, and to object to the processing. Most of these actions are available on the account page. Other requests are to be addressed to hello@kino-export.com. The user is further entitled to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of their place of residence.
