How to set up the export on a schedule
- Create an account — an email and a password, nothing else. The account and the schedule are free.
- Open your service’s tab and enter your Kinopoisk ID — the number in your profile URL. The profile has to be public. Simkl asks for a code instead of an ID.
- Add a schedule: what to export (ratings or the watchlist), how often — weekly or daily — and the hour to send it at.
- Choose where it goes: an email, a webhook, or straight into Simkl — there the ratings are set on their own, with no file.
- Nothing else to do. A letter arrives only when there is something new in it, and the latest run always sits in your library, one click from the file.
What arrives, and when
The letter leads with a CSV of what was added since the last run, and carries the full files behind it — Letterboxd, IMDb, Trakt and the JSON backup, as much as a ten-megabyte envelope holds. An empty run sends nothing: no new ratings, no letter. Kinopoisk is not the only source that can run on a clock — a Letterboxd diary and a Simkl library can too, each with a schedule of its own.
